Patty has a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. She worked for many years in Skilled Nursing Facilities, but is now the Lead Recreational Therapist at The Vines Hospital in Ocala. She is very involved with District VIII and has been involved with FHCACA since her first position in long term care 28 years ago. She has served in many capacities from District President to State President. She often states that involvement in FHCACA has helped her in many ways throughout her career, and that meeting with like-minded professionals on a monthly basis year after year has also developed into some pretty good friendships.
In her leisure time Patty is an avid reader and loves good movies. She also loves gardening and can often be found in her “Tropical Paradise” backyard. Time with the family is also important and lots of mini-vacations, sightseeing and boating trips fill her recreation calendar.
