FHCACA Goal
To Better Serve our Residents in Health Care Facilities
The Association Stemmed from a Thirty Six (36) Hour Course, Held in March 1973, That Was Attended by More Than 60 Coordinators From All Over the State of Florida. In 1974, the Administrators of Florida Health Care Association Met and Authorized the Activity Coordinators Over the State to Form. At This Time Mr. Van Glawn and Mrs. Maria Baldwin Were Appointed As Our Liaisons. Many Years Later We Now Have April Henkel as Our FHCA Liaison. The Association is Made Up of 16 Districts. Each District Has Officers and Conducts It's Own Business. The Association Provides the Opportunity to Exchange Ideas. All Coordinators Exchange Vital Information in Upgrading Resident Care by Using the Therapeutic Tool of Recreation.
